Captain Richie has been fishing the Georgia Coast for over 20 years. With this experience comes BIG fish and lot's of them! My Shakespeare equipment gets used day in and day out almost every day of the year... at least every fishable day. The rods get slammed to the gunwale by large tarpon and the reels get 200 yards of line peeled off at 30 MPH on a regular basis! The Shakespeare Ugly Stik Rods speak for themselves, and the new Tidewater 30 Gold reels have proved their muscle on many Georgia Tarpon and Bull Redfish. Inshore, I prefer Pflueger Spinning reels and Baitcasting reels for castability and super smooth drag for the Redfish and Trout that engulf the estuaries here on the Georgia Coast.
The Georgia Coast offers excellent fishing opportunities for Anglers ofall ages, novice or pro. Catches of note and areas are lsited below.
Inshore: Trout, flounder, redfish, Jack Crevalle and black drum.
Nearshore and Beachside: Tarpon, shark, bull redfish and huge Jack Crevalle.
Offshore: Snapper, grouper, amberjack, king mackerel, cobia, pompano, barracuda and more.
Please feel free to phone our Toll free number for questions about the Shakespeare fishing tackle we use for the variety of species listed here. Our company fishes the complete line of Shakespeare and Pflueger tackle. If they make it, we've got it, and we use it to extreme measures!
